Ricky overhears a Steel Awesome movie on his emergency radio and thinks it's an actual plot by Mufflerkrunk to hypnotize everyone in town. Together with the Buddies, he comes up with a plan to trap Mufflerkrunk.

Ricky and his buddies find a special star-shaped badge that they believe gives them superpowers. When a landslide traps Toot and her class during a field trip, the buddies set off to save them.

Loop starts to think he is a real rescue bike after Officer Bunker gives him a pretend medal for getting Buster’s ball out of a tree. When Loop attempts to rescue Whoopi and Fred Whizzbang on his own Ricky must race in to help.

Toot wants responsibility in the Zoom family and Helen allows her to be to take over an emergency dispatcher for the day. When Toot doesn't give clear directions it's up to Ricky to teach her how to do to the job properly.

Ricky and the buddies help Maxwell at the garage when he sprains his spokes. They realise it’s not as easy as it looks when they help a huge line of bikes who need repairs.
