1965. Civil rights activists James Bevel, Hosea Williams and Martin Luther King Jr campaign for their right to vote. As Luther King Jr leads hundreds of like-minded people along the 54-mile highway from Selma to Alabama's capital, Montgomery, they are met with violent conflict and brutal opposition.
