In an Eastern European town, as Vlad, a local, looks for his grandfather's stray dog, he unravels a mysterious death. As the investigation turns into a murder mystery, Vlad is led to the Tirescus, an ex-Communist couple who are the richest landowners in town. Though Vlad wants to face the Tirescus, he takes a detour when he learns that the two bullies may be bloodsuckers in more ways than one.
