Fries With That?

Profits are down and Ben must fire an employee to reduce overhead. After conducting an efficiency study to determine who is expendable, it turns out Ben is the one who is expendable. So, like a good Assistant Manager, Ben fires himself.

Much to her chagrin, Robyn finds out that she is going to have to wear big metal braces. Once in place, she refuses to open her mouth, instead choosing to converse with friends and customers through body language and hand-written signs.

Pattie organizes a baseball game between Bulky's and their rival restaurant, Chunky's. As Coach, Patti discovers that the only time for practice is during working hours, so the gang figures out how to practice and serve the customers.

Robyn is forced to take over as Assistant Manager and hates the new role. Pattie sees Robyn's new role as a bonus, believing they can all goof off now that one of their own has become the boss. Robyn, however, takes her new job seriously.

Desperate to join the Goodfellows Guild at school, Pattie sets up an interview with the club President after school at Bulky's on a day that just so happens to coincide with a day that Ben decrees everyone must look and behave like Alex.

He might hate it, but Alex wants to keep his job at Bulky's. However, his tenure is on thin ice, and on the verge of being terminated, when Ben hires a champion burger flipper to show Alex that he means business.

Alex wins a competition to be Bulky's spokesperson and gets right to work creating a new ad campaign. The success soon goes straight to Alex's head, and the campaign ends up turning into a full-scale disaster.

Ben buys an aromatic spray at a pet store hoping to stun a pesky mouse long enough to get it out of the restaurant, but his plan goes horribly awry when the staff, not the mouse, are affected by the spray, but in a way no one expects.

Pattie and Tess run against each other for President of the Student Council but end up spending more time campaigning than working. Customer dissatisfaction turns into satisfaction, however, when Pattie begins buying votes with free food.

Pattie develops a crush on John Smith, a man who claims he was sent from Bulky's head office to catch a counterfeiter. However, it soon becomes clear that John Smith is not who he claims but is instead nothing but a common thief himself.

Alex's tattoo attracts unwanted attention from a biker who mistakes him for a member of a rival gang. The biker instructs Alex to meet in the parking lot after work, where the gang leader will be waiting to settle a score. Alex is terrified.

Pattie reneges on a promise to Tess causing Tess to put a curse on Pattie. Pattie does not believe in curses, but bad luck arrives, nonetheless. Tess says she will remove the curse if Pattie apologizes, but Pattie refuses to do so.

Robyn is in love, but it is not a happy love story, it is more like Romeo and Juliet, as Robyn is in love with the cook from a rival fast food chain. As she soon learns, love and work do not mix.

Robyn begins listening to cult-like self-help tapes to boost her self-confidence. Soon, her self-help initiative completely alters her personality, making her unbearably assertive. Tess's new love for photography becomes a nuisance.

Ben is penniless but he desperately wants a new cellphone, so he asks Robyn to lend him some money. Knowing full well she will not lend him money for a phone, Ben makes up a heartbreaking story about a poor friend that he wants to help.

Ben ropes Pattie into a contest to win a shiny trophy to display at Bulky's. Trouble is, Pattie must compete against Chris the super-jock in a thumb-wrestling competition to win the trophy. Tess bets Alex that she can predict the winner.

Robyn is attracted to Ryan, the editor of the school newspaper, and all would be fine except that Ryan is attracted to Pattie, who has absolutely no interest in him. A series of misunderstandings leads Robyn to suspect Pattie of foul play.

There is a gangsta rapper in town and everyone wants to go to the concert, but money is a problem for Alex. Perhaps the overnight cleanup shift he is on with Ben will allow him to earn the cash, but man's best laid plans often go astray.

When Alex starts a rock band, Ben complains that his practicing is distracting him from work and advises him to quit the band. However, when Ben notices that Alex's guitar playing augments their customer's appetites, he changes his tune.

Tommy McGuire, the star of a new superhero movie "Tiger Man," appears at Bulky's in full Tiger Man regalia for a special appearance. Alex is unimpressed and challenges Tommy to perform the famous "Tiger Man Leap." Things quickly go awry.

When Tess holds an alternative therapy workshop in the back pantry during off-hours, Ben refuses to allow her to do so. However, when Ben meets one of the participants and becomes smitten, he decides to take part in the workshop himself.

Alex is bummed about having to participate in a student exchange program, and he is dreading meeting Danny from Manitoba, however, his demeanor quickly changes when Danny turns out to be Danielle, a very hot high school senior.

Pattie and Robyn are excited about an upcoming concert that Bulky's is sponsoring that will feature a heartthrob singer named Rico. Meanwhile, Alex sells Ben a smelly concoction that he insists is a love potion that makes girls go crazy.

Ben attempts to impress an attractive customer named Sandra, but she is not interested in him because of his poor financial status. To get Sandra's attention, Ben disguises himself and pretends to be the owner of the entire Bulky's chain.

Bulky's lands a lucrative merchandising deal with a Sci-Fi Hollywood blockbuster, and for a limited time they will distribute collectible movie tie-in toys with every Wacky Meal. The event causes a huge, unexpected uproar in interest.
