Crest of the Stars

It’s been three years since the events of Crest of the Stars. Lafiel now commands her own assault ship and Jinto joins her as the ship’s supply officer.

The war continues between the Abh Empire and United Mankind. And Lafiel’s assault ship is likely to take part in the upcoming battles.

Lafiel and Jinto find out their commander is related to a baron that they killed three years ago. But with combat on the horizon, resolving the situation might be difficult.

Lafiel’s captaining prowess is put the test when the Basroil engages in its first real battle.

The battle is over and the Basroil returns to the space dock for repairs. Meanwhile, it is decided that Operation Phantom Flame will be conducted just outside the Aptic Gate.

During a lull in military duties, Jinto and Lafiel’s commander invites them to a formal dinner in remembrance of her late brother.

The Basroil and Seigroil are damaged by enemy mines while on patrol and end up stranded. With the enemy fleet on the way, can they repair their ships in time to retreat?

With just one day before a large-scale combat operation, everyone is on edge. Commanders and crew alike go about their pre-battle rituals.

The enemy fleet is on the move. While they wait, Jinto and Lafiel discuss their pasts, present, and their plans for the future.

The battle for Aptic Gate has begun and Lafiel’s assault ship finds its way to a front line threatened by innovative enemy mines.

Lafiel is ordered to temporarily withdraw from the battle. But when enemy assault ships come through the gate, the Basroil is ordered right back into the fray.

The Basroil sustains heavy damage and is forced to retreat from battle. While Rear Admiral Spoor strikes at the heart of the enemy, Lafiel, Jinto, and the crew head for their escape pods.

The main fleet finally arrives and the battle for Aptic Gate comes to an end. Jinto and Lafiel are reunited with their crew aboard the newly rebuilt Basroil, thus beginning the next stage of their lives.
