Emily thinks the other engines pull much more exciting loads then she does. So when she is given a huge globe to transport she decides to show it off.

Bill and Ben think it would be funny to tell Timothy he needs to find a multi-coloured truck. Keen to impress, Timothy sets off to look for it.

Thomas causes an accident by being silly and is so embarrassed that he blames it on an imaginary engine called Geoffrey. When the Fat Controller wants to meet this new engine, Thomas realises that his story may have got a little out of hand!

Cranky drops a very important Christmas parcel when unloading a ship. Upon hearing it rattle, he thinks it must be broken and tries to hide it. The Fat Controller does not give up so easily and, with the help of Salty and Thomas, the parcel is soon discovered along with a surprise for Thomas - and Cranky too!

The snow is causing all sorts of trouble for the engines and a truck bringing parts to Emily has got stuck in it at the depot. When snow falls off the roof trapping Kevin, Victor thinks he has gone to fetch Emily's parts and sets off to rescue his friend. Luckily Thomas has been sent to the depot too and is able to find Victor before anyone else gets stuck in the snow!

Toby stubbornly refuses to fill up with coal just because Henrietta keeps reminding him. At the Scrapyard he runs out of coal and when the other engines see him, they get the wrong idea. Soon a rumour spreads that poor old Toby is being scrapped!

Thomas' branch line is being inspected. Thomas, Annie and Clarabel are keen to show what they can do, but there are nothing but problems: a stuck window in a hot carriage, naughty schoolchildren pulling the emergency cable and animals on the line!

Henry hears that the Fat Controller's grandchildren have chickenpox and worries about whether engines can get chickenpox too. Then he meets Thomas who has been splattered with mud and is carrying a wagon of chickens, and becomes convinced of it!

A whale is stranded on the beach and the Search and Rescue Centre is called to help. Butch tries to drag the whale back to the water but the tide is too far out. So, Oliver carries the whale on a flatbed, while Toad sings to it to keep it calm.

Percy is late to collect some sheep and is in such a hurry to collect them that he doesn't realise that there is a hole at the back of the wagon. One by one the sheep escape without Percy realising. Thomas passes Percy and discovers the sheep and is forced to stop and collect them. But the only place for the sheep to ride is in Annie or Clarabel!

Spencer delights in boasting to the other engines about meeting the abominable snowman, which frightens Henry. The next day Spencer continues to tease Henry but when they meet a man covered from head to toe in snow, it is Spencer who is the most frightened of all!

Salty loves to tell tall tales. When he is sent to help out at a port on the mainland, Salty is happy to help... until he hears that he must travel by ship and his wild imagination gets the better of him. Now he's the one who has to overcome his fears!

Den and Dart are the best of friends, work together at the Dieselworks and are rarely separated. When Mavis has an accident, the Fat Controller needs a replacement engine to work at the quarry and decides to send Den. Den and Dart are worried about working on their own but, with the help from new friends, they both manage to cope with being separated.

Thomas first met Hiro when he found him abandoned and in need of repair in the woods. It was not easy to get spare parts for Hiro and so, when Thomas causes Hiro to be derailed, he rushes to find him spare parts. Only Thomas hasn't told anyone where he is going, so when he runs into trouble nobody knows where to look for him!

Stephen is an old engine and is slower than the other engines. Sometimes they have to slow down for him, which Gordon does not like!

Bertie has four wheels, Thomas has six and Spencer has twelve. They debate about who is best but who comes to the rescue when Spencer breaks down?!

Thomas and James compete to see who can bring football fans to the match the fastest. Thomas collects the blues and James only stop for the reds!

Emily is in awe of Caitlin and believes she is best engine ever. When Caitlin's brakes fail, Emily races to the rescue of her idol!

Philip arrives at Knapford full of energy and enthusiasm. He is determined to prove that he is faster than Gordon and challenges him to a race!
