New boy Lewyn shows his true colors following the murder of an owner of a minicab business and Warren faces an enquiry over his relationship with Lucy. Meanwhile, Bruce is struggling to cope with his father's mental illness.

Ron and Marty are sent to investigate a male rape case. Meanwhile, Lew and Eric are being wary of one another and Warren tries to uncover the mystery of money falling from the ceiling in a snooker hall.

When a man reports a well-known local villain for drug dealing in his street and his home is subsequently vandalized, it appears that the culprit is immune from prosecution. Ron and Marty lose a 12 year old suspect while Lewyn adopts some highly dubious tactics.

The team investigate a spate of poisoning after a stranger hands out free champagne spiked with tranquilizers to homeless people, and one of the victims is later beaten to death. Meanwhile, a shop-owner is under investigation for fencing stolen goods.

In the final episode a fourteen year old prostitute is found suffocated while Bennet humiliates herself in front of her colleagues over her tryst with Lewyn. The dead girl's mother implicates a local boxer but the case brings Warren back into contact with a former suspect, and with ex-girlfriend Lucy.
