Lucy escapes from the center where she has been contained. She has been shot in the head so she has no memory of the past

The offshore facility sends a special task force, headed by the ruthless, cold-hearted assassin Bando, to hunt down Lucy at a beach in Kamakura.

Kurama asks Nana to find Lucy with her powers of Diclonius. Yuka realizes Kohta does not remember his father died in a car accident or that they went to a festival together as small children. Nana finds Lucy.

Nana is seriously hurt in her fight against Lucy. Back at the facility, Kurama's boss tells him to kill Nana as they can no longer use her so she is put to sleep.

Kohta and Yuka take Nyu to their school where Professor Kakuzawa recognizes and pretending to be her uncle offers to take her in.

Bandoh escapes the facility to track down Lucy.

Nana befriends Mayu in order to gain access to Lucy.

Nana struggles to convince Kohto and Mayu that "Nyu" is dangerous.

Lucy's past links with Kohta are uncovered

Kurama's past is explained in this episode. He was a good friend of Professor Kazukawa, who invited Kurama to work with him and his father on the diclonius project after leaving university.

Kurama leaves the facility to talk to Bandoh; they make a deal that involves the destruction of Mariko.

Mariko enjoys playing around with Nana since she is only allowed to kill her. Kohta arrives at the scene and Nana saves him by falling into the ocean

Nana almost falls into the ocean, but Kurama arrives to save her. Kurama tells Nana that he must kill Mariko and they go search for her.
