Child psychologist Mike Painter returns home to investigate the 1988 murder of his twin brother. A kids' TV show may be the clue - when it airs again after 30 years, another child disappears.

After what happened to Katie, Marla agrees to help Mike investigate the murders.

Mike has to convince his former friends that Candle Cove is behind the murders before they do something terrible. Meanwhile, Marla, Jessica and Amy search for Mike before Gary can take justice into his own hands.

When Mike's daughter Lily mysteriously arrives at Marla's house, he fears for her safety - and we learn more about what happened in 1988. Mike and Jessica take drastic measures to protect Lily from Candle Cove.

Mike and Amy hunt for the creator of Candle Cove. But Mike soon learns that the creator isn't who he thought it was. And a brutal crime shocks the Iron Hill police force.

After Lily is taken by Candle Cove, Mike puts himself in great danger to save his daughter and confront his tormentor - and Marla faces an impossible choice.
