Alton Brown begins his new journey along America's original super highway, the Mississippi River, in search of honest and authentic road food.

Alton Brown and his renegade band of motorcycling flavor seekers invade Mississippi, a land where just about everything is deep fried and sauced in secrecy.

Alton Brown and the gang roll into Memphis and consume everything in sight, from smoked ribs to cherry shakes to chitlins. They cruise in a Green Caddy, visit a Pink Palace and contemplate Elvis's red, white and blue custom trike.

Weary of feasting on asphalt, Alton Brown and the boys ditch the bikes in order to feast on the river itself for a couple of days. Then it's on to a doughnut binge in St. Louis, a quick stop at the Civil War and more.

Alton Brown and crew consume every pie in the Midwest ... not to mention all the morels and asparagus, a healthy portion of fried chicken livers and an extra helping of Luxembourgian noodles.

Alas, all rides must come to an end, but not before a very humiliating fishing venture, a royal smorgasbord, an honest to goodness diner, a new tattoo, a scary viking and some stinky fish. Oh, and the scenery is nice.
