Odd Man Out

In Season 2, we see Charles struggle to find a job, he reunites with his long lost brother, he finds love, then risks it all when he's hit with a major life decision.

Charles quit his job and didn't have anything lined up in place of it. Now, he's unemployed and steady searching for work. In his job interviews, Charles is subjected to borderline racist questions regarding his qualifications. Also throughout his interviews, Charles has flashbacks to his previous encounter with Lindsey at his apartment. Charles also finds a new roommate, Ciara Barbosa.

Charles gets the news that he's been offered one of the jobs he applied for. Out of desperation, Charles accepts the job. On his first day of work, Charles is late. As Charles is getting used to his work duties on his first day, he sees Jasmine. A young beautiful African American woman and Charles is hooked. Lamar mentions that Charles' estranged younger brother is randomly visiting LA.

Charles introduces himself to Jasmine and asks her out on a date. Lamar has an idea to help Charles out of his money problems. Troy first comes into the series when he meets Charles and Lamar on the basketball court. Charles and Jasmine discuss their childhoods and the relationships with their fathers and have a very successful first date and begin to like to each other.

Troy, Ciara and Lamar are in Charles' apartment discussing entrepreneurship. Charles comes home from work and tries to connect with their conversation but can't. The group decides to go to a bar to get some drinks. Lindsey randomly shows up at the bar to gives Charles his last check. Charles wakes up the next morning with a woman in his bed and an unopened condom on his nightstand.

Charles draws attention to the unopened condom. Jasmine tells him not to worry because she's on birth control. Jasmine thinks Charles is a hypocrite for dating and being into white women and she calls him out on this. Charles meets Rhonda to get a black woman's perspective on the issue. Rhonda tells Charles to put himself in Jasmine's shoes and try and understand where she's coming from.

Jasmine tells Charles that she's pregnant. Charles gets advice from Lamar and Ciara. Charles wants an abortion but Jasmine hates the idea of abortion. Charles mistakenly kisses Ciara when he's drunk. Charles' phone rings and the season ends as we see Charles and Ciara looking at his phone and Jasmine is calling with the news.
