Poltergeist: The Legacy

In the series premiere, members of the Legacy, an ancient, secret society that investigates the paranormal, are introduced, as their leader, Dr. Derek Rayne (Derek de Lint) struggles with his own dark past.

Derek's old friend, Damon Ballard, facing divorce from his wife Lisa, is charged with abusing his ten-year-old son Michael. The police give no credence to Damon's claim that an invisible force attacked them both; so he turns to the Legacy team.

The Legacy's Rachel (Helen Shaver) and Nick (Martin Cummins) investigate a town that has been trapped in time and is ruled by a charismatic preacher, Abraham Hawking (Nick Mancuso), who is determined to test Rachel's loyalty to the Legacy.

When Alex Moreau (Robbi Chong) testifies against a slum lord, the man is sentenced to "do time" in his own dilapidated building. But when she stumbles upon the tragic past of the building, she is faced with the evil spirits that dwell within it.

After excavating a cave in Qumran, Randolph Hitchcock (David Oden Stiers), a former Legacy member and an old friend of Derek's (Derek de Lint), presents him with a prized artifact that carries with it a long-lost secret…and a deadly curse.

Doctor Rachel Corrigan (Helen Shaver) helps an ancient sailor, Samuel Hartford (Julian Stone), search for his long-lost identity, unfortunately, discovering in the process that he may have to die to save his soul, his past…and even the present!

One night, while driving on a country road shrouded in fog, Nick (Martin Cummins) accidentally hits a young woman who later vanishes into thin air. While investigating her strange disappearance, he discovers that she actually died...weeks ago.

While Derek is plagued with nightmares, Rachel's daughter, Kat, gets into trouble at her new school because of a playmate…that no one else can see. Can both events be traced back to the ancient artifacts recently delivered to the Legacy house?

Nick (Martin Cummins) and Father Philip (Patrick Fitzgerald) battle evil forces when a teacher at the local high school mysteriously vanishes and is replaced by a sinister substitute teacher known as The Warden (guest star Ben Cross).

When Nick's (Martin Cummins) old friend Liz (guest star Molly Parker) comes out of an unexplained coma, she hysterically insists she saw the boy in the neighboring hospital bed hunted down by a monstrous force and murdered.

When his daughter, Samantha, falls terminally ill, Clayton Wallis (Roy Thinnes), an old friend of Legacy Precept Derek Rayne, offers up his own body and soul in an ancient pact to save her life…a pact that leaves devastation and ruin along the way.

Grief-stricken over her fiancée's death, Miranda Blake (Barbara Tyson), the curator of a museum, stages a break-in to cover her theft of a ancient medieval bell purported to have magical powers…powers that even the dead can't refuse.

After three workers uncover old Chinese artifacts that date back to early 1900's, terrifying events in San Francisco's Chinatown reveal the presence of a vengeful spirit who is claiming lives to redress a century-old wrong that must be corrected.

While lecturing in Boston, Derek meets a terrified young woman who tells him of disturbing experiences that seem to link her to a series of strange deaths that are occurring in the local area where her family has lived for generations.

When the Legacy house is broken into during an invitation-only gala, and a medallion once belonging to an ill-famed Satanist is stolen, Nick fears a magician who is known for unbelievable and outlandish acts may be involved in its disappearance.

After a girl at Rachel's former boarding school claims she was brutally attacked, Rachel comes face-to-face with her past. Is the girl lying? Or has Rachel simply managed to repress memories that were far too difficult for a young girl to deal with?

When all the church bells in the city spontaneously ring at the same time that a scientist is killed in his lab, Derek and the rest of the Legacy are called in to investigate and learn that an old arch-enemy may be involved in a sinister experiment.

Rachel inherits an old Southern mansion from her aunt, Rebecca. As she visits the house, Rachel begins to be affected by the presence of Rebecca whose spirit still remains in the house and wishes to live on to claim the family she was denied.

Dr. Praeger, an old acquaintance of Alex's, is plagued by visions of disaster in an abandoned railroad tunnel. The meaning of his visions may be the key to averting a horrible accident involving the shipping of nerve gas by the U.S. government.

A mysterious package with a strange container and a cryptic message at the Legacy house. The package and the appearance of an ancient visionary foretell of a struggle with evil...an evil that is somehow linked to Derek and Rachel's past.

Derek is charged with putting the Legacy and its members in danger. The tribunal reviews the evidence against Derek as each member of the Legacy recounts their experiences, while trying to defend their leader...and find out who the traitor is.
