Steve arrives at the hospital hoping that he'll be able to look after Amy whilst Tracy's incapacitated.

Sally reels upon discovering Sophie and Sian in bed together. The police interrogate Steve about the New Year's Eve attack on Tracy. Fiz and John bump into Joy at the hospital.

Early morning and Tyrone slips out of no.4, but unbeknown to him he's spotted by Kevin. At the garage Kevin explains he's back for good and asks questions about Sally. Sophie's thrilled to see her dad back on the street but when he spots Sally leaving Tyrone's via the ginnel he accuses them of having an affair. In front of Eileen, Sean and Rosie, how will Sally react?

Sally and Tyrone find themselves under fire from Kevin and Rosie. John tries to salve his conscience by helping Joy. Izzy talks to Gary about his outburst. Amy visits Tracy in hospital.

The police arrest Becky for the assault on Tracy. Sally and Kevin fail to resolve their dispute. John gives Joy a phone number for Colin. Audrey reluctantly claims her prize at Claudia's salon.

John endeavours to cheer up Joy but is forced to invent more lies about Colin. Sally fights back when Kevin puts the house on the market. Becky gets sent home after a night in the cells.

Joy's shellshocked as she digests the news that Colin is dead. Unable to stop himself John confesses to everything, feeling a dark sense of relief. Horrified Joy accuses him of murder. John begs her to believe Colin was already dead .

John returns to the scene of his crime. Claire finds herself hailed a hero for attacking Tracy. Peter pushes Leanne away as he struggles to cope with being incapacitated.

As Dr Carter visits a dejected Peter after his fall, Nick overhears Leanne snipe at Carla when she asks after Peter. Realising they've got previous Nick pushes Carla until she reveals that she had feelings for Peter but he didn't reciprocate. Using this Nick's more determined than ever to prove to Leanne that Peter's not the man she thinks he is.

As Nick wonders if Peter's about to drink it's a treasure in heaven for Nick. Peter begs him not to tell Leanne and Nick knows he's got him right where he wants him. Seemingly caring he lets Peter talk as he leads him to the edge. It's a psychological game of chess as Nick plays Iago, assuring Peter he's got his back. Will Peter drink?

As Peter fights the urge for a drink, Carla and Nick offer conflicting advice. Lloyd feels outshone by Chris' birthday gift for Cheryl. Eileen discovers that her roof requires attention.

Ciaran reacts angrily when he catches Nick and Peter drinking together. Anna confronts Gary with her discovery. Owen has bad news for Eileen. Lloyd gives Cheryl an expensive gift.

Gary arranges to meet Quinny's parents. Eileen frets about raising the money for her roof repairs. Janice sets out to bag a man at the Rovers singles night. Michelle fears losing Ciaran.

Eileen's money troubles increase as she burns her bridges. Anna fears for Gary's wellbeing when he prepares to rejoin his unit. Janice knocks back the booze ahead of her impromptu holiday. Simon's sullenness puzzles Peter.

Eileen's wracked with guilt over what she's done and confesses to a horrified Sean. Insisting she'll pay the money back, she claims Owen will never notice. But when Carla tells Owen she's given the £10k cheque to Eileen he reveals he'd forgot she owed him. Praising Eileen's efficiency Owen starts to feel guilty about the way he treated her over the house repairs and decides to pay Eileen a visit.

Eileen feels guiltier than ever as Owen makes a start on her roof. She's desperate to transfer the £10k from her account to Owen's but the cheque hasn't cleared yet. Meanwhile when Owen tries to buy Izzy a birthday present he's shocked when his bank card is declined.

Eileen's unnerved when Owen turns up to continue working on the roof. Breaking down Eileen tells Julie all about the stolen money and Owen's threats. But when Julie points out that she's got far more on Owen than he's got on her, as she knows he's been ripping off the tax man for years, she says all they need is evidence. Will Eileen dare to double-cross Owen again?

Eileen joins forces with Julie to play Owen at his own game. Lloyd realises he has been framed for the burglaries. Fiz struggles to cope with both her husband and daughter in hospital.

Hope has taken a turn for the worse and is back on a ventilator, her life hanging in the balance once more as she has a hole in the heart. As they wait by Hope's incubator, Fiz tells Chesney everything about John's double life as Colin Fishwick.

Fiz is distraught when Hope takes a turn for the worse. Gary breaks the news of his discharge to his parents. Cheryl asks Lloyd not to give Chris' name to the police. Tracy finds herself ostracised.

Fiz's woes escalate as she is plagued by money worries. Gary's circumstances cast doubt over the Windasses' adoption plans. Claudia informs Audrey about her new man.
