The Practice

The emergency ward is welcoming a new leader, leaving the current workers both skeptical and intrigued. However, the staff scrambles after recognizing an emergency patient is the new head of the ward, requiring an amputation. Slava brings a complaint to the Hippocrates about Zhenya's decision.

Ilya begins to change the way the ward operates, receiving resistance from employees. A bride to be is stricken down a flight of stairs, leaving her in critical condition. Zhenya must make a quick decision, but Ilya condemns her for moving forward without his approval.

An elderly man collapses while walking, but the details of his condition are uncertain. Although he is quickly stabilized, Zhenya feels there is more to it than meets the eye. Stepa struggles to tell Zhenya the truth about his affair.

A young boy descends from a third story window after witnessing a verbal confrontation between his parents. When it is found that the boy's spleen ruptured, he is rushed into surgery. However, things go south and only Zhenya can solve the issue shrouding this operation. Galina and Stepa are caught red handed.

An old apartment building collapses, leaving many of it inhabitants injured. The ward feels the pressure with the high volume of patients, even more so without the presence of Ilya; who's been stopped for a traffic violation on his way to work. Step pleads with Zhenya to come back home.

A man is found near death, foaming from the mouth in his hotel room by one of the maids. When similar victims begin to arrive at the ward, the team suggests they have a mass poisoning on their hands. Word of Stepan and Galina's affair spreads throughout the ward.

A woman's back pain is neglected for several months, but the cause is uncertain. Although it's assumed to be associated with the spine, the team finds the true cause shockingly unexpected.

When a former patient dies from what journalists are calling his mistake, Ilya's reputation comes under fire. Tensions rise between Zhenya and Galina. When a patient becomes uncooperative, Zhenya takes matters into her own hands.

Galina's son, Vovka, comes for a visit, but his stay is shorter than expected. Despite Ilya's attempts to remedy their relationship, Zhenya refuses to give in.

A pregnant woman takes a fall, leaving her with an arm fracture. However, due to her pregnancy, Ilya will not be able to perform her operation with anesthesia. Through his schemes, Slava finds out about Zhenya and Ilya's love affair; devising an alliance with Lana to take Ilya out of office.

A distracted bus driver puts his passengers lives in jeopardy, crashing directly in the middle of an intersection. Slava and Lana's schemes take flight, leaving the hospital in disarray over Ilya's supposed resignation. Zhenya and Stepan think about how and when to tell their son, Romka, about the divorce.

Zhenya is taken hostage by a criminal seeking medical attention for a gunshot wound. The authorities run mad searching for the same criminal, yet only later come to find he's been at the hospital the entire time.

Although a faithful dog protects its visually disabled owner from an attack, the motive is, at first, unclear. Stepan is reacquainted with an old friend, however it's short lived as he's rushed to the hospital with a malignant tumor. Zhenya and Stepan prepare to see their son, Romka, for the first time since their divorce.

During a dress rehearsal, an actress accidentally hangs herself on stage. As Stepan continues to investigate however, evidence makes it clear that this wasn't just an accident. Meanwhile, Zhenya overhears an interesting phone call.

After confronting Oksana, Zhenya discovers Romka is aware that the child is not his; yet after his parent's attempt to dissuade him, he swears to keep his promise of marriage. Meanwhile, Galya and Stepan's relationship hits rock bottom.

A man is electrocuted during a normal day in the workshop. However, it seems the owner's lack of care may have been the cause. With the help of Zhenya and the rest of the team, Stepan unveils the mystery behind this case.

A well-known jockey is launched from the back of his horse, only to be trampled moments later. The intensity of the injury shies the traumatology ward away from the case, forcing Zhenya and the team to take on the surgery themselves.

An elderly man is rushed to the hospital with his business associate after a hunting accident leaves him with a crushed foot and a branch in his stomach. Upon their arrival, it is discovered that the old man is, in fact, Olya's father, one of the nurses in the ward. Zhenya and Stepa have an emotional talk about the future of their relationship as things heat up again between Zhenya and Ilya.

A young professional tennis player, facing pressure from her mom, injures her arm during practice, putting a stop to her future. A boy is rushed in after severely injuring his leg during a parkour accident. Gal shows off her new engagement ring. Meanwhile, Konstantin persuades Slava to spy on Ilya for his daughter after suspecting that another woman is the reason he won't return to Moscow.

A horrible accident sends a stage performer to the hospital after she's been shot in the stomach with an arrow during rehearsal. Stepa investigates whether it truly was an accident, or if there was a hidden motive. Meanwhile three girls are rushed in after jumping off a building while creating a video meant to portray their feelings of loneliness. The spying on Zhenya and Ilya continues.

A young boy mysteriously faints while playing with his siblings. His parents bring him to the hospital to find out why. Zhenya tries to get to the bottom of the young boy's illness, while discovering his family secrets at the same time. Meanwhile, Slava is suddenly promoted to Assistant to the Head Doctor, surprising everyone at the hospital.
