After the death of a colleague in the North African country, photographer Lee locks herself in a Sicilian hotel room, where she has also stayed in the past. During her occasional walks, she meets Hafsia, a Tunisian woman who is a refugee there awaiting asylum. Hafsia bears a remarkable resemblance to a young woman Lee photographed during her time in Libya.
