The search for the Best Home Cook returns! Ten talented home cooks face the culinary skills test from our trio of judges - the queen of home cooking Dame Mary Berry, Michelin-starred chef Angela Hartnett, and fruit & veg expert Chris Bavin. Presenter Claudia Winkleman offers socially distanced support and encouragement with her usual wit and warmth.

This week Mary challenges the cooks to create their ultimate chocolate dessert for a romantic date night. One cook, heartbroken, makes a French chocolate heartbreak cake for one. Happily married cooks craft their partner's favourite, while singles whip up decadent treats to woo potential dates-like a chocolate plum tart for naughtier nights. Will love win the judges' favour?

The hunt for the best home cook heats up as the competition nears halfway. The remaining cooks must impress produce expert Chris Bavin, Michelin-starred chef Angela Hartnett, and queen of home cooking Dame Mary Berry, with socially-distanced support from Claudia Winkleman.

The first challenge takes us away from the dining table and into the living room as Mary Berry challenges the cooks to make their ultimate burger and chips for a TV dinner. Some of the home cooks keep it classic, opting for a good quality beef burger.

After a surprise non-elimination, the seven remaining cooks reach the halfway point on their best home cook journey. Supported by Claudia Winkleman, they impress judges Mary Berry, Angela Hartnett, and Chris Bavin. First, they create their ultimate Sunday roast with roasted meat and potatoes, including a pork crackling showdown and Moroccan-inspired twist.

This week, Dame Mary Berry challenges the cooks to bake their ultimate celebration cake. Each cake must celebrate an event clearly shown in its design. One creates a pirate-themed chocolate birthday cake, another a breakup cake. Not all find it easy - one stumbles while aiming for the coveted judges' favourite to avoid the dreaded eliminator.

Day One kicks off with Mary setting her ultimate challenge: the Friday night fish supper. The semi-final cooks must fillet their own fish, showcasing their technical skills under the watchful eyes of the three judges. Each judge picks their favourite dish, and with only four cooks left, earning a favourite is crucial to avoid the dreaded eliminator and secure a spot in the final.

Three cooks have reached the final of Best Home Cook. Claudia Winkleman welcomes them back for one last time to impress Dame Mary Berry, Michelin-starred chef Angela Hartnett, and produce expert Chris Bavin.
