The police officer attacked by the Night Baron was a master of Karate as well as being able to avoid Ran's kick. With Maeda being the Japanese Champion of Karate, he is a big suspect.

Conan and the others are on a hiking trip from early morning, but they run into a strange murder scene. The young man is suspected to have passed away drinking a bottle that was poisoned.

Kogoro is inviited to Dousan Nagato's birthday party, there he is requested to look for Dousan's first love. However, that night a family member is murdered at the Nagato household.

Hideomi Nagato's body is found from the bottom of the pond in the Nagato household's back yard. There is even a written will, and at first it is speculated to be suicide.

Conan, Ran, and Sonoko run into a Bank Robbery while handling errands at the local bank. One of the criminals shoots and murders one of the staff when the staff tried to catch the criminal off guard.
