Interior Design Masters

Meet the 10 novice interior designers embarking on the ultimate crash course in Interior design. Host Alan Carr sends them off to a former convent in Norfolk where they must transform nuns' cells into single bed B&B bedrooms demonstrating their signature style. Judges Michelle Ogundehin and Abigail Ahern will decide who wins Stand out Space and who will be the first to leave.

The 9 designers go wild in Chester Zoo, creating 3 activity centres for school children themed around the wildlife of Brazil, India and Madagascar. They must add fun elements to teach school children aged 5 - 16 about the zoo's conservation projects before Michelle and guest judge Sophie Robinson decide which team has created their Stand Out Space and which designer will be going home.

The designers are let loose on exclusive hospitality boxes at Ascot Racecourse as they give their interpretation of high end sophistication and luxury. The entrance, cloakroom and bar area must be completely transformed and a table should be set for a posh afternoon tea before Michelle and guest judge Kelly Hoppen decide who wins Stand Out Space and which 2 designers will go home.

The designers head to Wales working directly with clients for the first time as they work their magic on 3 Swansea cafes. The briefs vary from "Scandi-by-the-Sea" to "Industrial Chic " to "Home from Home". Working in pairs, they must come up with cohesive schemes to improve the ambience and dining experience before Michelle and restaurateur Nisha Katona arrive to judge.

The 5 remaining designers must come up with clever hacks to show potential tenants how to turn Sheffield rental apartments into more personalised homely spaces . They demonstrate reversible design so there is no losing the deposit at the end of the tenancy. Interior designer, Shane Brady joins Michelle to decide who will go through to next week's Quarter Final.

The designers hit the high street to transform two Grade II listed shops in East Grinstead. One is a women's fashion store and the other is an old curiosity shop. Working in pairs they need to work around the challenges thrown up by medieval buildings and planning regulations to improve the layout and the footfall before Michelle and queen of shops Mary Portas arrive to judge.

The 3 semi-finalists head backstage at OVO Arena Wembley to transform dressing rooms. They create hair and make up stations, an area for the entourage to hang out and a bathroom fit for an A-lister. Michelle enlists the help of pop princess Sophie Ellis-Bextor to decide which designers will go through to next week's final.

For the grande finale the 2 finalists head to the magnificent Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire to redesign holiday lodges in the grounds. Taking inspiration from the stunning surroundings they show Michelle and guest judge Jonathan Adler everything they have learned over the last 8 weeks before one of them wins Interior Design Masters and a major collaboration contract.
