Knots Landing

The kidnapper imprisons Karen in a farmhouse. Ben returns to Val, and Sumner confesses to Peter that he has no intention of cleaning up Lotus Point.

Gary confronts Sumner about the toxic clean up at Lotus Point and then decides to vie for state senator against Peter. Mack has flashbacks about Paige's mother.

In order to get Ben's support, Sumner agrees to clean up the pollution. Laura decides to move to the ranch. An old friend--who happens to be Karen's kidnapper--visits Sumner.

After hosting Phil at the ranch, Sumner realizes Phil's involvement with Karen's kidnapping. Later, Phil sets a fire outside Karen's room.

The kidnapper tries to kill Karen, but someone intervenes. Gary's affair with Jill is exposed.

Karen meets Paige. Gary leaves the debate to help a troubled Olivia. Phil stalks Karen so Sumner goes to the police.

Gary loses the election, and Olivia blames herself. Sumner hides Phil, but someone recognizes the kidnapper.

Lotus Point reopens. Phil has an accident. And Peter takes an interest in Sylvia's medication.

Paige and Michael keep a secret while Mack plots to have his daughter move in with his family. Peter keeps Sylvia from ruining his plans.

Gary and Olivia strike a deal. Sumner meets a very dangerous person. Abby keeps an important secret from Peter, and Jill has a terrible accident.

Jill gets rescued. Karen discovers Michael and Paige's secret relationship, and Sylvia tries to protect herself.

Mack and Karen confront Paige and Michael about their relationship. Sylvia threatens Peter. An eyewitness implicates Peter.

Sumner makes Ben a lucrative offer. Paige takes an interest in Peter. And Karen suspects that Paige is a liar.

Paige dates Peter. With Lilimae as a passenger, Olivia, under the influence of cocaine, has a crash.

Olivia gets caught with cocaine. Karen catches Paige in another lie. Gary discovers Jill's big secret.

Abby finally encounters a situation she can't manipulate--Olivia's cocaine problem. Paige encounters her grandfather.

Abby discovers that her daughter is just as devious as she is. And Mack sees Anne.

Mack reunites with Anne and brings her back to Knots Landing. Gary and Abby discuss the divorce, and Sumner suspects Ben.

Sumner discovers a listening device in his home. Paige and Anne reunite. And Ben gets an unpleasant assignment.

Paige starts a new job at Lotus Point. Ben tells Val that their family is in great danger.

Jean proves to Ben there is no escape. Sumner and Ben meet at Ben's office. A gunshot is heard.

Rumors of Sumner's death circulate. Laura gets a pleasant surprise.

Val fears that Ben is dead and steals Gary's gun to kill Jean.

Val reassures Jill about Gary. Ben worries that Jean will return and finish the job. Anne arranges a private evening with Mack.

Anne tries to seduce Mack while Karen works late. When Mack rebuffs her, Anne takes drastic measures.
