Last of the Summer Wine

Howard asks a reluctant Clegg to deliver a message to Marina at her place of employment. Meanwhile, Seymour goes in search of oil, but manages to drill through a water main.

Seymour takes it upon himself to supervise repairs to a boat, and together with Clegg tries to persuade Compo to take up canoeing to improve his physique.

Compo accidently discards something of sentimental value, and waxes lyrical about the two subjects closest to his heart - love and ferrets. Meanwhile, Seymour demonstrates his new home security device.

Seymour reveals his latest invention - a purse for men. Compo agrees to test the product, which results in minor havoc.

Seymour invents a car safety device and as soon as he hears Nora Batty is to attend its demonstration, Compo volunteers to be the dummy that tests it.

The trio decide there is profit to be made from a heatwave, so Seymour designs a vendor's side car cooler to put Compo into business as an ice-cream man.
