Paramedics on Scene

In this episode, we follow Special Operations Paramedics as they respond to a major incident on the A90 near Dundee. And in forestry woodland in Lanarkshire a quad biking accident tests the ambulance service's specialist off-road vehicle to its limits, as Paramedic John struggles to reach the injured patient.

Special Operations Paramedics Dan and Leigh join fire crews and a trauma team arriving by helicopter at a high speed car crash in Forth Valley where a patient will need to be cut from their car to receive treatment. And at Glasgow Airport, Technicians Pete and Matt are escorted across the airfield to reach a patient in the operations tower with chest pains and a history of heart attacks.

Special Operations Paramedics Dan and Leigh are called to assist bomb disposal experts after a hazardous chemical is found at a building site, before taking to the water in the Borders to search for a body in the river. Lee and Nadine race to the scene of a three car smash on icy roads and Paramedics in Oban make two trips to visit a regular patient whose breathing is getting progressively worse.

Special Operations Paramedics Stevie and Robert are called to a road accident in East Kilbride where a car has landed upside down in a tree on the side of the road. After treating seriously shaken up passengers they are then sent to assist the police after reports come in about a man threatening to jump off a bridge, before a traffic accident sees them rush to the centre of Glasgow.

In this episode we're in Dunfermline, Billy and Jason rush to a choking patient where there is an immediate threat to life, whilst Andy and Tracey in Paisley are also called to a patient who is struggling to breathe. And Technician Pete and Paramedic Gary are called to a patient in Paisley who has fallen down the stairs, and they quickly realise he needs more support than just medical care.

In Edinburgh, Rapid Response Paramedic John is called to a patient with back pain after a fall who is reluctant to go to hospital and in the Borders, Paramedics Christine and Mike battle treacherous weather conditions to transfer a patient for a life-saving operation. Plus Jamie and Stuart in Inverness are called to a non-responsive patient who needs treatment in hospital.

A man stuck in the mud at a building site in Larkhall tests the skills of Special Operations Paramedics and firefighters who need to pull him out without causing any more damage to his legs and feet. And in Edinburgh, Kevin and Martyn rush to a patient who has recently had a heart attack and is complaining of chest pain, whilst in Paisley, paramedics are called to a patient who has been stabbed.

In Edinburgh, Rapid Response Paramedic Mat races across the city's tram routes to reach a patient who has collapsed in a pub and lost consciousness. In Paisley, Matt and Pete are sent to assess a patient who may be having a stroke before heading to a doctor's surgery to help a patient with chest pains.
