Renowned lawyer Joanna Chyłka helps her friend Angelika Szlezyngier when her three-year-old daughter mysteriously disappears.

More evidence points at David, who still holds on to his innocence. Chyłka and Zordon visit the surrounding village to investigate.

A trial is underway in which the Szelzynger family sits on the defendant's bench. Chyłka tries to undermine the professionalism of the sergeant.

Kordian arrives at the hospital, where he learns of the ongoing operation. The prognosis for Chyłka's health is not clear.

Kosmowski convinces Angelika to give up Chyłka's services. He decides to leave the Żelazny and McVay law firm and start his own.

Chyłka returns to health and to work. She is greeted by all her co-workers at the law firm, and an expensive surprise awaits her in the garage.

Chyłka and Kordian visit Dawid in prison. Their client has an unusual request for them. It turns out that he knows what happened to his daughter.
