Writer Gabriel Noone (Robin Williams), who tells his stories on the radio, experiences a personal slump when his boyfriend Jess (Bobby Cannavale) decides to leave him. But when his editor sends him a manuscript to get his opinion, Gabriel becomes hooked by the story. It’s written by Pete (Rory Culkin), a teenager who was taken away from his parents.
