A colleague and friend of Peter Wendel has been found murdered. Old unsolved murder investigations are found in the man's apartment. Peter and his team are now tasked with finding out why he had them.

Peter and Barbro follow Ludvig Larsson and discover something shocking. Meanwhile, Caijsa and Jorma try to figure out why Conny had the old murder investigations.

Ulla and Veronica puts pressure on Barbro to tell them what the cold case team is up to. Meanwhile Peter and the cold case team realise that Ludde is far more dangerous than they first thought.
