Ashley has barely settled in to life on campus when she witnesses a blood-curdling video on the internet. Part of an urban legend that seems all too real, when someone types the phrase, "I did it for the lulz" three times in a chat room a deranged serial killer named Smiley appears. Haunted by visions of Smiley, Ashley starts to fear that not only does he exist, but he is going after her next.
