Inside Out Homes

In the first episode, Zac and Monty create a glass atrium for an 18th century barn by covering a courtyard with a bespoke glass roof, while Zac designs a garden office that's both ancient and modern. Zac turns the garden of a Victorian semi in Manchester into the heart of a family home, with even an ingenious location for the TV as part of a revolving wall trellis.

In this episode, Zac comes up with a radical redesign of a 1950s bungalow in Stockport. Owners Tom and Becky Richards fell in love with its cool mid-century design that had hardly been altered since it was built as one of the original British inside out homes over half a century ago.  

In this episode, Zac takes on a tiny 70s ex-council house in south London.  It's owners Andrew and Veronique Japps bought it hoping to extend, but instead Zac's radical solution is to knock the house down and start again in order to create an open plan living area that covers the entire ground floor and extends out through sliding glass walls onto gardens on two sides.

Zac Monro takes on a 1930s bungalow on a sought after estate in Newcastle. Although the house sits in the centre of a large garden, you would hardly know it. Zac's reinvention involves removing an entire brick wall and replacing it with glass and a deck immediately outside.

In this episode, Zac sets out to prove that concrete is the perfect material for inside out living as he and Monty test out how to get a bit of the South Bank in West London. But when Zac's plans involve covering over half of horticultural journalist Laetitia Maklouf and husband Adrian Drury's garden, things don't go entirely to plan.

In this episode, Zac takes on one of his biggest challenges - creating an inside out home in a flat with no outside space. Rising to the challenge, he removes the entire roof replacing much of it with glass while Rosie designs oversized window boxes and fills the flat with house plants.

In this episode Zac Monro knocks down a mock mansion in Surrey which is big on space, but badly connected both inside and out. Zac's controversial design includes replacing it with a high performance prefab house which slots together on site. Enormous windows which meet glass to glass in the corner open the entire ground floor onto the garden.
