In South Carolina, Reagan, Kyra and Jayden visit Congaree National Park and learn about its unique fireflies that flash in sync! Participating as citizen scientists, they observe and collect data so the park can better understand—and protect—the fireflies.

SciGirls in Tennessee explore Great Smoky Mountains National Park—the salamander capital of the world. Isabelle, Kaylee and Ada observe salamanders and collect data to help rangers study the health of the park’s ecosystem.

On the sandy shores of Lake Michigan, Logan, Luci and Saloni visit Indiana Dunes National Park and investigate how dragonflies help the park scientists monitor its water quality.

SciGirls on the Alaska coast take pride in their community and the many wildlife species that call it home. Gracie, Indigo and Evie explore their local parks to identify and record animal and plant species, sharing their results with the global citizen science community.

In Minnesota, Jenny, Hope, Dani and Amelia face down pollution on the Mississippi River, and collect data to track plastic pollution in the watershed. The girls host a river clean up event and encourage other kids to become stewards of the river, and their local waterways.
