Chaika -The Coffin Princess-

The war of many long years has ended, and peace is gradually returning to the continent of Verbist. Toru, a former saboteur who has given up on his life goals and now leads a self-indulgent existence, lives an almost nomadic life with his younger sister.

While looking for food in the mountains, Toru comes around a strange girl wearing a coffin on her back named Chaika, who then hires him to help her recover an artifact.

Toru and Akari work hard to help Chaika meet her goals, but when there is more trouble at hand, will the truth be enough to sway their decision?

Gillette and his band are hot on the trail of Chaika and her hired saboteurs, following them to a nearby city where Chaika's mysterious informant appears before them.

Chaika, Toru, and Akari run into Dominica the Dragoon warrior they were searching for. After proving to be a gracious host, Toru asks her for Emperor Gaz' remains.

Fredrica has joined Chaika and her friends, making them a party of four as they continue their journey in search of their next target. Suddenly they're attacked by three mysterious strangers. Among them is a girl wielding a snake blade who turns out to be... Chaika?!

Chaika and the saboteur siblings are trying to find leads to the next Hero. An ambush by a rival group throws things into disarray when Toru recognizes the group's leader.

Simon Scania is the next target for Chaika and crew in their search for Emperor Gaz' remains. In order to find him, they must enter a valley of fog with peculiar properties.

Continuing their journey to gather the emperor's remains, Chaika and company search for the next of the eight heroes, the wizard Simon Scania. Their search brings them to the town of Rademio, where Simon was last seen four years ago. The people of the town tell them about a "Valley of No Return" filled with thick fog, from which no visitors ever return.

A group of former Gaz Empire citizens stops Chaika and her entourage and demand a toll. Strangest of all, they claim to be in the company of the true heir, Princess Chaika

On their way north to stop civil disputes, Vivi gets to shop with Gillette, and Chaika finds that they aren't the only ones low on magic fuel.

After arriving in a town known for their abundance of magic fuel, Chaika and friends learn that Duke Gavarni is not only taking all the magic fuel but also the town's women.

Toru must join forces with two of Gillette's goons in order to break out of the flying fortress and meet back up with Chaika. Meanwhile, Chaika learns a shocking truth.

Chaika must acknowledge her existence and choose which path to follow. Meanwhile, Gillette rushes into battle to save his companions.
