Andy's world changes completely when his mother has an accident. With no one to take care of him, he is taken to Cuernavaca to the home of his distant paternal grandmother (the Almodovarian muse Carmen Maura). While his mother is torn between life and death, the child will face the rejection of his grandmother, the seductive and dangerous world of the gardener's son and the search for his father.
