Vicky decides to marry Wilhelm, but Elsie has a secret that could change things. Meanwhile, Arthur is hard at work building a second Jonass store.

The Nazis are gaining influence in Berlin and Gerd is promoted to the SA ranks. With Vicky and Harry back together, Hanni struggles to adjust.

Helene’s father looks for someone to blame. Helene’s death has devastated all who knew her. Harry, riddled with guilt, hides in the apartment.

Hostility toward Jews is rapidly increasing. Starting to sense he is powerless against the new regime, Arthur appoints Gerd as the manager of Jonass.

As Jews are having their assets seized, Hanni’s paternity is questioned. Harry’s record is removed from stores. Later, Elsie is taken by SA men.
