Season 1 begins with Danny and Kathy's honeymoon. A widow and widower, they met when Kathy was hired as a nurse when Rusty had the measles. The Williams family moves into a brand new apartment and Angela Cartwright joined the cast as Kathy's daughter Linda, who was then adopted by Danny. William Demerest played Kathy's father, and with Hans Conreid as Uncle Tonoose, both families approved.
