Xing Ren enjoys her day job, and lives her life frugally, but all that changes when she encounters the spoiled Zi Qi, who's forced by his father to work as an average salaryman from the bottom up.

Zi Qi has a hard time getting used to living life frugally, and he butts heads with Xing Ren.

Xing Ren rejoices when she finally gets Yu Cheng Feng to agree to join the department store. Zi Qi takes Kai Er out on a date.

Xing Ren stresses over her future and her bank account when she shatters four bottles of expensive wine worth nearly NT$1 million.

Xing Ren's guilty conscience propels her to submit her resignation, despite Zi Qi's pleas for her to stay.

Zi Qi spends some time with Xing Ren and her mother in the countryside, which makes Kai Er jealous and disconcerted.

Xing Ren must find a way to convince her supervisors to agree with Cheng Feng's plans for his brand name.

Zheng Kai Er and Qin Zi Qi's romance heats up in front of the entire company, making Xing Ren uncomfortable.

All of the green envelope recipients quickly open the letters to discover which side each one will be on, and Le Le seems to be quite happy to be on Xing Ren's side. However, it seems that Zi Qi and Kai Er will be on the same team against Le Le and Xing Ren.

Xing Ren tells Zi Qi that when a department store has an anniversary, it is the equivalent to having the Oscars in the shopping world. However, Zi Qi doesn't want to discuss it, instead asking the girl if she just had a problem dealing with his friend Kai Er instead.

Xing Ren watches over the city as she starts to regret allowing Zi Qi to walk out Lao Yu, causing a discomfort that lasts for longer than she expects. Meanwhile, Stallone walks out of a bad setting and runs into Zi Qi, dragging him off and asking for a diagnosis.

After a troubling past few days, Xing Ren finds Zi Qi sleeping on the couch and takes the opportunity to read his phone, which contains a message from Kai Er. Later, Le Le discovers that Xing Ren has been dating Zi Qi as the mood turns awkward for all parties.

Mina and Yu Cheng Feng arrive back at her apartment, but much to Yu Cheng Feng's surprise, Mina is merely back just to return her keys, not return back to her home. Zi Qi decides to speak out to his friend and complains about Lao Yu and his late behavior.

Once again, Xing Ren comes home to find a sleeping Zi Qi sprawled on the sofa, but she opts for stealing a kiss instead of stealing his phone this time around. Later, Zi Qi takes his friend Bao Luo to the model home to show off to Xing Ren and Mama Shen.

Zi Qi attempts to go to his office to get some work done, but he instead finds Xing Ren sitting at his desk and getting work done in his stead. Later, Stallone barges into the office and becomes infuriated with the show his two employees have been putting on for the others.

At work, Xing Ren sits at her desk and looks at the English dictionary to figure out what Zi Qi had written on his computer earlier. Meanwhile, Lu Cha arrives to a meeting with Stallone and gives him a special latte that prompts him to down the drink in an instant.

Xing Ren leaves her home and instead heads out to spend the evening with Mama Shen before she heads out to New York for a business and personal venture, but dinner quickly turns into a group when Zi Qi tags along. Later, President Qin discovers Zi Qi and Xing Ren's relationship.

Zi Qi is asked by his mother to come help her shop, but the truth behind the request is she wants to discuss some subjects with him better left off of the phone. Elsewhere, Xing Ren is surprised to be shunned by Zi Qi's mother when they see one another during a meeting.

Zi Qi confirms to Kai Er that she was the owner of the found earring, but Kai Er lies and tells him that Xing Ren was not bothered by the discovery. Meanwhile, Zi Qi's mother asks her son to join him as she begins to criticize everything in his life.

Xing Ren gets a huge surprise when Le Le brings her photos that prove that Zi Qi has been dining with his mother and with Kai Er, prompting her to confront Zi Qi when he arrives home. Later, Zi Qi tries to make up with Xing Ren until she hears her mother's collapsed.

Zi Qi tells his father quite sternly that he will easily give up his chance at succession if it means saving the mother of Xing Ren. Meanwhile, Zi Qi's mother realizes that although she comes across as a shallow woman, she is merely looking out for her son and his future.

When a pregnant woman is taken away to the hospital, Zi Qi tries to take responsibility, but Stallone knows better due to Zi Qi's history of covering up for someone. Nonetheless, Zi Qi enlists Stallone's help to try and keep the news from Xing Ren due to her numerous stresses.

Armed with a wide array of knowledge, Le Le meets with the mother of Zi Qi and tells her exactly who her son really is and who he pretends to be. Meanwhile, Zi Qi refuses to give his mother the free products he picked up, bringing them to Mama Shen instead.

Despite all of the troubles that they have faced, it appears that Xing Ren and Zi Qi have somehow found their way back to one another and reconciled once again. Meanwhile, the vice president meets up with Kai Er to scold her because she is the company's special scholarship recipient.
