The paths of lawyer Emily and the recently paroled Teddy cross, as they investigate the kidnapping of Philip, son to one of Emily's law firms most important clients.

Emily and Teddy are hurt by intruders in Philip’s Södertälje apartment. Teddy manages to sneak out undetected, but is soon forced to look up Emily who takes the opportunity to ask him for help.

The clock is ticking to find Philip and his kidnapper. Philip's sister has come home to help, and to support her sick father. Leijon’s security consultant finds evidence left behind by Teddy in Philip’s apartment.

Teddy struggles with his current situation and his deep desire to start fresh and cut all ties to his past. The time has come for Emily's partner-meeting, and she is willing to sacrifice everything to succeed.

The search for Phiip comes to a head. Emily prepares to make the deal of a lifetime, but a sudden twist changes everything for her.

The kidnapper is revealed, but this only leads to more problems as the revelation connects to Teddy's past. Emily and Teddy seek revenge for past wrongdoings.

Emily is advised to take leave from the firm. She and Teddy go to Mallorca to look for Kum’s daughter who has answers regarding Mats.

Emily realizes the extent of her firms corruption and makes a tough decision. Teddy takes a big risk in the hopes of setting things right.
