Parable: Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-24). Kyler and Kam manage their own theme park cards and end up being bored most of the day. The kids learn a valuable real-life lesson which is driven home through the parable of the Prodigal Son.

Parable: Talents (Matt. 25:14-30). Kelsey and J2 avoid their chores while their parents enjoy a night out. Their parents return, bearing gifts for those who did their chores. Kelsey and J2 gladly accept—until bedtime when their antics are exposed.

Parable: The Builders (Luke 6:46-49/Matt. 7:24-27). On a trek to the great outdoors, the boys don’t take their tent-making instructions seriously, but the girls do. On the ride home, Jonathan unpacks the parable of the wise and foolish builders.

Parable: The Rich Young Man (Luke 12:16-21). Kelsey devises a candy-hoarding plan on Halloween that works perfectly—except that she hid her candy with boxes for trash day! Her parents teach about the man who hoarded worldly things and lost everything.

Parable: The Sower (Luke 8:1-15). A friendly cooking competition goes awry as the oldest kids fail to follow instructions. Bunny saves the day with her perfectly cooked dish, just in time for the surprise dinner for grandfather, Tony Evans.

Parable: The Wheat and Tares (Matt. 13:24-29). Kanika’s hands-on lesson on healthy seeds and invasive weeds results in a surprise mix-up. After contending comically with the giant carnivorous weeds, the kids learn the parable of the wheat and tares.

Parable: The Debtor (Luke 7:33-50). The kids reflect on forgiveness while learning the parable of the debtor.

Parable: Unmerciful Servant (Matt. 18:23-35). The “Bigs” cause major damage and are forgiven, but when “The Littles” cause minor damage, the Bigs withhold forgiveness. Jonathan unpacks the Parable of the Unmerciful Servant.

Parable: Laborers in the Vineyard (Matt. 20:1-16). When the Littles are the last to join the game but score the winning touchdown, the older kids feel burned—having been in the game longer. Jonathan tells the parable of the laborers in the vineyard.

Parable: The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37). When Tyson gets bullied at the local dog park, an unsuspecting ally comes to his rescue. Later, when the family realizes what was actually happening, they share the parable of the good Samaritan.

Parable: The Place of Honor (Luke 14:7-11). When the kids are invited to a birthday party, Kam is honored with a well-deserved surprise after a few of his siblings comically miss the moment. Jonathan discusses the parable of the place of honor.

Parable: The Spec and the Log (Matt. 7:1-5). At Skateland, J2 and Kelsey join experienced skaters in mocking beginners Kam and Kylar. But the tables turn when those skaters realize J2 and Kelsey are beginners too. The spec and log parable is shared.
