Just when Anne starts to have her act together, everything starts falling apart. Lily no longer wants contact, she’s not crazy about the girl she’s dating, and her parents are having their own issues. Things at work aren’t perfect either.

Feeling stuck, Anne looks to her best friend, Jip, but now that he’s dating Maya again he barely has any free time. And that’s not the only reason Anne is jealous of Maya. With no one to talk to, Anne feels isolated and it takes a toll on her work.

Anne runs away from her life problems and seeks refuge at her parents’ house, only to find that it’s been sold. Things couldn’t be more awkward at home, but luckily Lily is also in town and she’s in a better place to reconnect with Anne.

Anne finds the last person she expected on her doorstep: Sara. After breaking Anne’s heart, she now wants a second chance. Anne is conflicted and is still with Caro, but she can’t deny her feelings. Meanwhile, Anne and Jip record their first podcast.

Anne takes Sara as a date to the wedding of her old boss—and former lover—Esther. The wedding proves fruitful for both of them, when Sara meets a famous architect and Anne gets some help from Esther.

Anne’s friend Casper and his girlfriend Daantje are moving in together, but they disagree over money. Anne and Sara realize they have the same issue. As Anne quits her job to focus on her podcast and writing, Sara gets a major offer, with a catch.

When Anne and her friend Max become activists to protest violence against the LGBTQ+ community, they become consumed and start neglecting their partners. Anne forgets to ask Sara how her interview went and still doesn’t know the position is abroad.

During Anne’s 25th birthday party, drinks and conversations flow. When it comes to the topic of Sara’s job offer, Anne assumes she’s turned it down, but her friends aren’t so sure, and neither is Sara.
