Nerves, anxiety and pressure runs amok as our 10 contenders are revealed, as is our host Trevor Noah. Alliances and strategy take center stage as the comedians in the room plot to oust the ‘people people’ amongst them. Whilst toilet humour, twerking, the National Anthem and a pregnant cast member all battle for the spotlight - a warning shot is fired as the first yellow card is shown.

The game is now in full swing and the yellow cards begin flowing. Everyone quickly realises the ruthlessness of their new situation; break each other or get broken! Alliances begin to form, underhanded plots start bubbling and more than one brash attempt gets unleashed.

Nerves set in after the first red card of the season as people begin to take the game more seriously. Whilst some are anxious to finally try out their gags before being eliminated, others opt to take a more casual approach to getting laughs. Red lights and red cards become more frequent as big performances take us deeper into the game. Powerful onslaughts come from a Kung fu master, while a questionable director presents their skewed vision. But it’s a surprise visit from a DIY specialist that pushes the repressed giggles to the brink…Meanwhile our host ups the ante with a mischievous phone call that sends his victim into a pickle.

While Trevor Noah’s puppet master antics tip the house into chaos, we are treated to an actual puppet show by a surprise guest. Levels of reality begin blurring as the fifth hour puts its foot down while sending more than one contestant headfirst down the rabbit hole.
