Felice Romani's libretto is not based on William Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet' but on Luigi Scevola's 1818 play 'Giulietta e Romeo'. This performance was recorded at Teatro la Fenice di Venezia in Venice, Italy, on January 18, 2015.
