Young surfer Nick (Josh Hutcherson) thinks all of his dreams have come true when he goes to visit his brother in Colombia. He falls madly in love with a beautiful girl named Maria (Claudia Traisac). It all seems perfect until he meets her uncle, the notorious Columbian drug lord, Pablo Escobar (Academy Award®-winner Benicio Del Toro).
