Grigson - Food My Mother Made

Italian 'passione' strikes as Sophie and restaurateur, Gennaro Contaldo tackle fourteen octopi for a delicious Amalfi coast stew and talk about cooking Italian style. Sophie also takes us through her Devilled Herring Roe recipe and her mother, Jane Grigson's Green Tea Cream dessert accompanied by Elegant Sugar Thins biscuits.

Sophie hosts lunch for the elegant Richard, Earl of Bradford, who has a hankering for roast gammon with honey and mustard glaze accompanied by Cumberland Sauce. They chat about school food and childhood memories. Sophie also shows us her mother, Jane Grigson's, Crab Cocktail and how to sex a crab.
