In pristine waters, in one of the most remote locations on earth, lives a mysterious species of shark. Sevengills here are almost unstudied by science, but they make their presence known, being responsible for more attacks in New Zealand than any other shark. Host Kina Scollay takes an expedition boat into the heart of the wilderness to find a population of sevengills lurking in the dark water.

On their own in the Pacific Ocean are the Chatham Islands: wild, remote, and circled by a population of great white sharks. This is a special location for host Kina Scollay, who was attacked by one of these sharks while diving there professionally 20 years ago.
