A romantic drama starring Aamir Khan (Raja) and Madhuri Dixit (Madhu) who find love after an initial span of enmity. Hazari, Raja's father, is a miser looking for fortune in the form of a rich bride for his son. He disguises himself as a rich man in search of a match for Raja and sets his target on Madhu. Even though Madhu and Raja love each other now, there are a lot more complications to come.
