In the Season 4 premiere, an uneasy peace between two Kansas City crime syndicates is threatened by an untimely death. Meanwhile, the Smutny family is caught between a rock and a hard place.

The Smutnys receive unexpected guests, Josto (Jason Schwartzman) and Gaetano (Salvatore Esposito) reunite, Loy (Chris Rock) challenges the status quo, and Oraetta (Jessie Buckley) is caught red-handed.

Deafy (Timothy Olyphant) and Odis (Jack Huston) join forces, Josto (Jason Schwartzman) seeks revenge, Oraetta (Jessie Buckley) finds new employment; Gaetano (Salvatore Esposito) makes a move; and Zelmare and Swanee help the Smutnys.

Loy refuses to capitulate to the Faddas, Josto asserts his leadership, and Doctor Senator and Ebal try to keep the peace as tensions rise. Zelmare and Swanee lay low, Ethelrida makes a disturbing discovery and the walls begin to close in on Odis.

Josto teaches Gaetano a lesson about leadership, Ethelrida does the right thing, and Loy makes a deal when he finds himself backed into a corner. Deafy follows a lead, and Thurman and Dibrell’s actions bring them to a point of no return.

Pursued by both Cannon and Fadda muscle, Rabbi Milligan (Ben Wishaw) and Satchel distance themselves from an all-out war brewing in Kansas City by hitting the road. Meanwhile, Omie (Corey Hendrix) looks to settle a score.
