Follow the Money (English)

After serving 18 months in prison, Claudia is released on parole. She’s contacted by Knud to look into a contact at Absalon Bank. Claudia agrees but has her own motives. Meanwhile, Mads works a suspicious case that leads to fatal consequences.

Mads is guilt-ridden about what happened at Nova Bank and digs further into the company, leading him to clash with Nicky. After revealing Knud’s plans, Claudia starts working at Absalon Bank to help them outmaneuver him.

Mads and Alf follow a lead to the head of Nova Bank’s crisis department and put him under surveillance, prompting Knud to get involved. Meanwhile, Nicky and Bimse try to shake the fraud squad and Claudia must convince Absalon to hire her officially.

Mads and Alf unravel the corrupt practices at Nova Bank and are shocked to discover a connection to their boss, Nanna. The general assembly is about to vote on selling Absalon Bank and Claudia must pull some strings as Amanda and Simon struggle.

Claudia is convinced selling is Absalon’s best option and suggests finding a buyer who shares their vision, but Amanda struggles to get on board. Mads and Alf’s investigation leads them to Helge, whose daughter Nicky has kidnapped. Who’s behind it?

After questioning Helge, Mads has enough proof to put Knud away, but he wants more. Helge suggests looking into Absalon Bank. Claudia and Amanda team up after an unexpected betrayal and the truth behind the family business is revealed.

Claudia and Amanda are furious when Nova Bank’s purchase starts a domino effect of bankruptcies for Absalon’s customers. When Mads checks out Absalon and sees Claudia, he assumes she’s working for Knud, unaware that she’s after him too.

After Nova Bank’s risk manager is fired, Claudia and Amanda realize that Absalon could be in serious trouble. Claudia learns what happened to Sander and reveals the Swede was on the plane with them. Mads and Alf pay him a dangerous visit.

As Absalon verges on bankruptcy, Alf makes a disturbing discovery about Knud’s plans. Mads finds connections between the Swede, Nova Bank, Knud, and Nicky. Desperate and sick, the Swede forces Nicky and Bimse to help him, with tragic results.

With Claudia’s help, Mads and Alf put the pieces together to stop Knud’s plan, which would lead to the collapse of Denmark. Will they finally stop Knud? Or will they realize there is always a more powerful player pulling the strings?
