Mistletoe Murders

11 months later from the Season 1 finale, we find Emily and Sam are not on speaking terms, Violet now works at Sue's Diner and there's been no additional contact from CH1MERA. Sam and Emily work together, albeit with hesitation, as the chess club coach at Violet's high school goes missing.

Emily becomes the high school's new chess club coach in order to gain more intel on the suspects she and Sam have assembled. We continue to see flashbacks of Emily where she's allowed to enter a computer club and it's the first time the audience hears her real name, Grace.

The art world comes to Fletcher's Grove as an old friend of Sam asks him to help with a security job guarding a piece of art but Sam politely declines. The next day his friend is found dead. Since he's too close to the victim, Sam is not allowed to investigate the crime but decides to go on a short leave of absence and privately investigate.

Emily and Sam discover his friend was killed when a cop confronted him about accepting a bribe. The bribe was from the woman leading the art gallery and pretending to be related to the highlighted artist. In flashbacks, Grace's teacher is fired because Aaron made it seem that her teacher was the one to hack into the school system instead of him.

A fine dining restaurant is opening up on the outskirts of Fletcher's Grove. Famous Ray is an investor and invites Emily to visit and help with a Christmas menu for the restaurant's soft opening. All goes awry when the owner of the restaurant is found frozen and dead outside.

Emily and Sam are locked inside a freezer and come very close to death. In a moment of vulnerability Emily tells Sam her real name is Grace and Sam admits he still has feelings for her. In flashbacks, we see Grace discover that Aaron is in fact a bad guy and tries to help the CIA arrest Aaron but the mission fails. Later we see she's recruited out of prison from the CIA.
