In 1967, Hester and Jerry Mundis were living in a Manhattan apartment with their son. One day, they came across a baby chimpanzee in a run-down exotic animal shop. Almost 50 years on, the family looks back on the adventure of raising Boris with love.

In 1986 Californian Dean Bernal settled in the Turks and Caicos Islands, where he came across a wild bottlenose dolphin known to locals as JoJo. JoJo found the perfect swim mate in swimmer and free diver, Dean.
