The Tuskegee Airmen Trilogy

They were some of the best pilots, mechanics and servicemen in the US military, but were forced to train in segregated facilities and engage in separate missions by those who didn't want them to fly - all because of the color of their skin.

Thousands of Black pilots attended flight training at Moton Field. From this group emerged the heroic Tuskegee Airmen, who bravely served in WWII. After decades of neglect, dedicated volunteers fight to ensure the legacy of this site will live on.

Overcoming a history of racism and inequality in this country, five surviving Tuskegee Airmen from across the nation make the journey to witness first-hand what they never dared to dream: the inauguration of the first Black President of the United States.
