Alone and heavily pregnant, Mel (Sheridan Smith) has to go through birth without the father of the child or her own family, who have given her the cold shoulder.

A father (Robert Glenister) is critically ill with the virus and his son Russell (Tom Glenister), trapped and isolating with him, becomes increasingly frantic as he tries to help him through the illness. Soon, he has a difficult decision to make.

The worst fears of hypochondriac Mike (Darren Boyd) have come true, and he insists on an online session with his psychiatrist Rochelle (Angela Griffin). But who really is the patient, and who is the shrink?

A granddad (David Threlfall) stops off outside his son-in-law Steven's house to play about with his grandkids, but Steven doesn't welcome these daily visits. And events eventually build up to a climatic confrontation.
