Join the cops who police Brighton's hectic nightlife scene. Officers Sophie and Rachel investigate a possible street assault that has left a man with life-threatening injuries. And Steve stumbles across a pair of legs sticking out of the bushes.

Officer Jack gets a punch to the face as he tries to arrest a man for assault; PC Ben tries to stop some drunks urinating on the seafront, and later on has to wrestle a man with a knife.

Afghanistan veteran PC Theo takes charge of a baby after its mother is arrested for being drunk. Meanwhile, ex-doorman PC Jack ends up in a scuffle, and newbie officer Amy is called to the aid of a vulnerable member of the public.

Policing the streets of Brighton at night is not for the faint-hearted. Tattooed PC Robbie, who hopes one day to do a cage fight, tackles an aggressive male outside a busy pub. Newbie officer PC Emily, a former BA air hostess, carries out a strip search on a non-compliant suspect. And Brighton's answer to Cagney and Lacey, PCs Zoe and Vic, launch a desperate search for a vulnerable woman.

After complaining he never gets any decent jobs on response, young PC Will disappointedly deals with an irate taxi driver after someone is sick in his cab. Meanwhile, Sergeant Andy makes an impromptu stop that leads to a drug bust and PC Jess detains someone for an assault in a strip club. But does PC Will get his chance to shine when a call comes in - someone has been found with a gun?

At the start of the night, PC Jack is asked by two party goers if he can help them find their weed. While time served cops Matt and Emma reminisce about some of the worst insults they've had, a fat Gary Barlow being one of the milder ones. But the night takes a darker turn when Jack attends a young girl who's been spiked in a nightclub, causing him to worry for his own younger sister's safety.

After a quick rendition of Take That's 'These Days' the officers of the night patrol head out into Brighton. PC Jack gets called to a street assault but finding out who is the suspect and who is the victim proves difficult. PCs Matt and Amelia find a bloody handed youth on a bus after reports of a smashed window.

PC Sophie has to deal with a flirty suspect in a street brawl and PC Vic arrests a young man for GBH. Meanwhile PCs Roger and Jess get a call some youths have been attacking a bus. When they arrive it's the Santa bus and Father Christmas has been hit with some soft mints! But later on their night turns serious when they are called to an irate suspect in a nightclub break in.
