The 10 celebrities taking on the toughest reality adventure ever arrive in the mountains of Central Norway. They are met by presenters Kate Thornton and Gethin Jones. Heading to the northernmost point of mainland Europe, deep inside the Arctic Circle, they'll get there by racing in a series of team challenges on each stage of the journey.

The 9 remaining celebrities wake at base camp. They've endured their coldest night yet with the temperature dropping to minus 27 degrees. Kate and Gethin arrive for this week's team selection. As he won the immunity challenge last week, Welsh rugby international Gavin Henson is the first team leader, he'll lead the reds. The group choose TV gardener Diarmuid Gavin to lead the blues.

The 8 remaining celebrities have reached the Arctic Circle and the weather's closing in. The next stage of the expedition will see the celebrities trek on cross country skis up into the mountains where the equipment they need to complete the challenge has been buried in a snow drift. Doc Martin actor Joe Absolom is the first team leader. Hollyoaks actor Marcus Patrick leads the other team.

The 7 remaining celebrities are racing ever further north inside the Arctic Circle. Gavin Henson and Andrew Castle are this week's team leaders. The teams must hike through deep snow up to a sheer cliff face on the edge of a steep-sided mountain and tomorrow they race to collect a team flag situated at the summit of the opposite cliff and return it to their team's cliff.

The 6 remaining celebrities arrive in Finnmark County, Northern Norway. In the challenge, the teams will race on snow mobiles to the top of a frozen waterfall; then abseil down the frozen waterfall against the clock; and finally, they must melt a block of ice, using only the equipment they carry with them, to retrieve the key to the log cabin.

The 5 remaining celebrities are heading further north inside the Arctic Circle. They arrive in Kautokeino - reindeer country in Northern Norway. Today, the teams must race on snow mobiles to camp where they'll construct a traditional Norwegian tent known as a lavvu. Tomorrow the teams will herd reindeer against the clock. Gavin Henson and Joe Absolom are team leaders.

There are 4 celebrities still battling it out to make it all the way to 71 Degrees North. For the next 36 hours they must navigate their way across a vast mountain plateau and down into the largest canyon in Northern Europe where they must set up camp and before trekking to the finish line tomorrow. It will be the most physically punishing test they have faced.

It's the final of 71 Degrees North and 3 celebrities have made it all the way to the final leg of the expedition. The final celebs will take on one more terrifying challenge after which one of them will be sent home. Then the last 2 will go head to head in a race to the finish. Only one will reach the North Cape at 71 Degrees North, the most northern point of Europe.
