Dog-track co-owner Dave Barrett finds himself framed for two crimes after his partner Lou Belden sells out to a gangster: the shotgun murder of Belden and a fatal hit-and-run committed by Jessica Warren, a wealthy businesswoman who lets Barrett take the blame. Now hunted by both mobsters and the law, he must untangle a web of lies to prove his innocence.
